FIX Flyer Expands Further in Latin America with Addition of UBS Mexico

Selected as FIX Infrastructure Provider

NEW YORK, NY — December 1, 2011 — FIX Flyer, a leader in solutions for electronic trading, global connectivity, today announces further expansion into Latin America with the addition of UBS Mexico, the Mexican unit of global investment bank UBS. UBS Mexico has selected both the Flyer Engine and Daytona Monitoring Tool for their FIX messaging infrastructure in order to provide state–of–the–art FIX order routing services for their clients around the world.

There is strong interest in the Mexican markets from the global investment community. The overwhelming majority of investors interested in trading in Mexico are looking for expertise from an international broker with local knowledge of market performance and an unbiased view. FIX Flyer is working with UBS Mexico to bring state of the art routing and connectivity services making it easy to access the Mexican market.

UBS Mexico uses Flyer’s FIX Engine for routing client orders to the Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, the equities exchange in Mexico. In addition, UBS Mexico uses the Daytona Monitoring Tool to support FIX sessions with their counterparties, allowing them to respond to their client’s needs with the highest levels of support. Daytona also provides UBS Mexico dynamic real-time alerting, latency metrics, and real–time order chain management especially necessary for algorithmic trading. In the last year that FIX Flyer has been selling FIX Engine and Daytona to the Mexican market, the number of production instances have increased by 240 percent while message throughput has grown by over 400 percent. The FIX Flyer Engine and Daytona product suite provide integrated electronic trading, routing and monitoring to over 170 clients worldwide, and serves most of the top tier Mexican equity brokers.
